The Adobe Contractual License Program enables us to aquire Adobe software products at much reduced prices. This program is available for all university-owned machines.
The Software Management office has a wide variety of software for protecting against viruses on campus. The university currently offers support for Macintosh, Windows, Linux, and command line Mac OSX.
The Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA) is a contract between Illinois State University and Microsoft to supply certain software products for installation on ISU-owned computers based upon a count of full-time equivalent knowledge workers and without regard to the number of machines. The Microsoft Select Program enables us to acquire additional application and server software (that is not included under the Microsoft Campus Agreement) at academic prices. Software purchased under this agreement is for installation on ISU-owned machines only.
Above and beyond the broad agreements listed above, ISU has entered into agreements to supply site licenses of specific titles necessary for academic and support functions. Listed below are titles and short descriptions of these products.
- Minitab 14
- A Windows product available for installation in computer labs and on other ISU-owned machines.
- SPSS
- versions 13 and 14 available for Windows, 11 and 13 for Macintosh
- A cross-platform (Mac/PC) product available for installation on ISU-owned machines.
